Entered College in Michaelmas Term, 1911. A member of the University Contingent of the Officers’ Training Corps. Commenced service prior to the outbreak of war on 4 August 1914. Second Lieutenant of the 1st Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment, 1913. Served in Belgium and France. Killed in action at Auber’s Ridge, 9 May 1915.
