Entered College in Michaelmas Term, 1914. Commenced service on the 17 February 1915. Second Lieutenant, 5th Battalion (Territorial), Essex Regiment, 1915; Lieutenant, 1915; attached to the Royal Engineers for Army Signal Service, 1918, serving in France. Killed in action, 29 October 1918.
