Entered College in Michaelmas Term, 1913. A member of the 1st Cricket XI, 1914. A member of the University Contingent of the Officers’ Training Corps. Commenced service on 14 November 1914. Second Lieutenant of the 12th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment, 1914; Lieutenant, 1915; Captain of the 4th Battalion, 1917, serving in France. Killed in action at Monchy-le-Preux during the Battle of Arras, 20 April 1917.
