Private Thomas David Davies

26 November 1894 – 23 July 1916

Commenced service following acceptance into College but prior to matriculation. Formerly a pupil of Llandovery College from 1907 to 1914. Enlisted at Cardiff, transferred to the Public School and University unit. Served in France with 21st (4th Public Schools) Battalion Royal Fusiliers, 33rd Division. Wounded early in 1916, invalided home. Recovered, and returned to France with the 20th (3rd Public Schools) Battalion Royal Fusiliers. Killed in action, during the battle for High Wood in the Somme, 23 July 1916.
