Commenced service (following acceptance into College but prior to matriculation) in September 1914. Second Lieutenant of the Queen’s Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) [Battalion not known]. Attached to the Suffolk Regiment. Served in France and Belgium. Killed in action at St. Eloi on March 30 1916.
