Second Lieutenant Walter Austin Rowley (1911)

10 April 1892 – 17 July 1917

Entered College in Michaelmas Term, 1911. A member of the University Contingent of the Officers’ Training Corps. Commenced service in September 1914. Second Lieutenant in the 3rd Battalion, Leicestershire Regiment. Attached to the 8th Battalion, 1916. Served in France and Belgium. Killed in action on the 17 July 1917.
