Private John William Thomson

11 September 1896 – 31 July 1916

Entered College at the age of 15 on the 22 April 1912 as an Apprentice Cook (on a four year apprenticeship). This was his first paid position. He left College service early in May 1915. College records have Thomson listed as joining the R.F.C. however it appears that he may have been a Private in the 15th (County of London) Battalion (P.W.O. Civil Service Rifles).
