Entered College in Lent Term, 1897. Up for 2 years. Served in the South African War as a trooper in the Montomeryshire Imperial Yeomanry (Queen’s medal with four clasps). Justice of the Peace and High Sheriff for Montgomeryshire, 1909. On the outbreak of war enlisted in the 3rd South Wales Borderers, 19th August 1914. Gazetted Second Lieutenant (Special Reserve for Officers). Attached to the 2nd Battalion, Welsh, December 1914 serving in France; attached to the 1st Battalion, March 1915 also in France. Mentioned in Despatches for distinguished conduct, 1915. Died of wounds received in action near Bethune, 14 May 1915.
