A member of the University Contingent of the Officers’ Training Corps. 1st Natural Sciences (Physiology) and B.A., 1911; M.A., 1915; B.M., B.Ch., 1915. Open Scholar, King’s College Hospital, 1912. M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., 1913. Resident Physician, King’s College Hospital.; Medical Officer, Ealing Hospital. Commenced service in August 1914. Lieutenant, Royal Army Medical Corps, 1914; Captain, 1915 (Medical Officer, 2nd Battalion Worcestershire Regiment). Served in France. Awarded an M.C., 1915. Twice mentioned in Despatches, 1915. Killed in action during the Battle of Loos, 27 September 1915.
