Entered College in Michaelmas Term, 1908. B.A., 1911. Barrister at Middle Temple, 1911. Practised on the Northern Circuit and at Chancery Bar until commencing service with the Armed Forces in November 1915. Served in the ranks prior to his commission as Second Lieutenant of the Royal Field Artillery (Territorial), 1916. Served in France and Belgium. Killed in action at Zonnebeke, 3rd Battle of Ypres, 28 September 1917.
