Second Lieutenant., 2nd Battalion, attached 3rd Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers, 1914; Lieutenant, 3rd Battalion, 1915; attached 2nd Battalion Durham Light Infantry, 1918. Served in France and Belgium. Killed in action, France, 13 April 1918.
