Second Lieutenant Edgar Pilling (1902)

Entered College in Michaelmas Term, 1902. A member of the 1st Rugby Football XV, 1902 – 1905 (Captain, 1904 – 1905); 1st Cricket XI, 1903 – 1904; 1st Hockey XI, 1903 – 1905. 3rd History and B.A., 1905; M.A., 1912. Worked as a farmer at Clocolan, O.F.S., South Africa. Commenced service on 22 November 1915, Second Lieutenant, Royal Horse Artillery and Royal Field Artillery. Killed in action in France on the 23 April 1917.
