Entered College in Michaelmas Term, 1912. A member of the University Contingent of the Officers’ Training Corps. Commenced service on 2 September 1914. Second Lieutenant of the 6th Battalion, Hampshire Regiment, 1914; attached to the 21st Punjabis, British Indian Army, 1915; Lieutenant, 1916 serving in Mesopotamia. Mentioned in Despatches, 1917. Died of wounds received in action in Samara, Mesopotamia, 22 April 1917.
