The history of the College, its alumni, and significant figures from its past is a fascinating area of investigation. Research is continually carried out in the College Archives, uncovering new stories and insights into the institution.
The material below is drawn from unused and expanded material from the College’s official history, Keble Past and Present (written in 2008 by former Warden Averil Cameron, and History tutor Ian Archer), research conducted for the Victorian Symposium, the exhibition developed by the College Archivist to mark the College’s 150th anniversary, and other sources.
We hope to add to this section of the website regularly to build up a portfolio of interesting History features.
